Originally the BASS 08 was developed for our 2-way and the BASS 12 for our 3-way monitors.
The Type 07 does have better synergy with the BASS 12 but sounds amazing with the BASS 08 as well.
The Type 05 MK2 and BASS 08 go hand in hand and provide excellent soundquality on the entire frequency spectrum for just under 3000 €.
Our 3-way monitors already play all the way down to 30+ Hz (and even 20+ Hz when the "Extended Bass" setting is used) so the BASS 08 doesn´t really add a lot when used with a pair of our 3-way monitors.
Therefore if you consider to add a Sub to a pair of Type 20/30 MK2 you should really go with the BASS 12.
Just make sure that you can accommodate the rather large dimensions of it.
