The volume control on the Sub sets the volume of the entire system including your main monitors. This is a guide on volume settings with our monitors and subs. You can find that chart and more in our Setup guides:
Volume positions:
| BASS08 | BASS12 | |
| Type05 MK2 | +3 | +6 |
| Type07 MK2 | +3 | +6 |
| Type20 MK2 | -3 (-10 für MK1) | 0 |
| Type30 MK2 | -3 | 0 |
Here is a volume setting example for our Type 20 Mk2's in conjunction with a BASS08:
- set the 'Input Sens.' at the T20's and the subwoofer to '0' (zero)
- please note: the volume pot of the subwoofer controls the volume of the entire system (satellites + BASS), for changing the balance between subwoofer and satellites you need to change the volume of the 3-ways
- depending on the room, position of the subwoofer and closeness to the wall the frequency response varies and that's why the balance in volume between sub and satellites can be corrected: for more volume level on the BASS turn down the volume on the 3-ways and turn it up for the same amount on the sub / for less level on the BASS turn up the volume on the satellite speakers and turn it down for the same amount on the sub
Example for a flat frequency response with your setup of BASS 08 and 2x Type 20 MK2:
- BASS volume is at +6dB / T20 volume at -3dB
- if you want to turn up the volume for +3dB on the BASS08 you would lower
the volume on the T20's to -6dB and increase the volume on the BASS to +9dB
